Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the grooming take?

This varies per dog and their needs. Most small haircut dogs get their own time slot of about an hour and a half. Large breed haircuts take about 2 and a half hours. Short haired baths can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.

Can I drop off early/pick up late?

Due to this salon being a private, luxury one on one service, we ask that you drop off no more than 10 minutes early. When your pet is finished, we will call you and ask that you pick up within 20 minutes or so of being notified. This is to avoid a stressful, loud environment for the current dog being groomed

Will my dog be in a cage?

Here at The Detailed Dog, we want your pets to feel as comfortable as possible. Some pets do enjoy being in a "safe space", so we do supply single crates or X pens for your pets comfort and safety if needed.

Do I need to bring anything for this service?

All you need to bring is your pet and their updated vaccination records.

What are your requirements for scheduling?

To make sure your dog maintains their healthiest coat and builds a positive experience with your groomer , we highly suggest and ask that you put your pet on a 4-8 week schedule. This keeps the coat in its best condition which helps avoid added cost to your service.

Do you groom dogs in heat?

No. For the comfort of your pet, if your dog is in heat, please be sure to reschedule your appointment.
